Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of staff development, coaching, mentoring, discipline, accountability methods.
• Knowledge of subordinate staff roles and DAC/DCS goals and policies.
• Knowledge of NC General Statutes, Post-release Supervision and Parole Commission, and related institutions.
• Experience with case planning, intervention worksheets, delegated authority; knowledge of sentencing, evidence-based practices, JRA, and motivational interviewing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead interviewer for vacant positions and supervise CPPOs and clerical staff.
• Perform audits of CPPOs and conduct trainings for new CPPOs.
• Coordinate workflow and schedules; manage disciplinary and performance issues.
• Conduct internal investigations and report writing.
• Coordinate with officers, offenders, judicial officials, law enforcement, and community partners.
• Apply evidence-based cognitive-behavioral intervention tools and delegated authority.
• Maintain calm, professional demeanor while handling difficult situations.
• Report on firearm inspections and inventory as required.
