Our client, a leader in facility management, is seeking a Building Operating Engineer to join their team.

As a Building Operating Engineer, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the operational integrity of the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully with the organization.

What’s the Job?
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Maintain responsibility for facility services, including preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and technical proficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems for optimal performance.
  • Record equipment readings and make adjustments for proper operation.
  • Monitor the quality and pricing of work performed by outside contractors.
What’s Needed?
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and work order platforms.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Word and Excel.
