Position Overview

Join our fast-paced support to the Space Development Agency (SDA), recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition. SDA delivers space-based capabilities to support terrestrial missions through the development, deployment, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. We seek a Jr. Construction Engineer to support SDA’s mission. Responsibilities include:

  1. Perform project management oversight for construction projects at SDA facilities.
  2. Assist with design, execution, construction oversight, and renovation projects at SDA facilities in coordination with the SDA Facilities team.
  3. Collaborate with property owners, construction firms, leasing agencies, accreditation bodies, and stakeholders to track project schedules, ensuring timely and compliant completion.
  4. Identify issues promptly and recommend solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.
Required Qualifications
  • Five years of relevant experience and an active TS/SCI clearance (#qinetiqclearedjob).
  • Willingness to travel regularly to active construction sites; adherence to all health and safety requirements onsite.
  • Experience with leasing documents and processes.
  • Experience with construction contracts.
  • Ability to review and interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Understanding of government procurement processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards.
  • Experience with Basing Action documents and processes.
  • Proficiency with CAD software.
