Position Overview

Support the Space Development Agency (SDA) in a fast-paced environment. SDA provides space-based capabilities to support terrestrial missions, emphasizing speed, cost-efficiency, and resilience through commercial development. We seek a Jr. Construction Engineer to assist with:

• Project management oversight for all construction projects at SDA facilities
• Design, execution, construction, and renovation oversight in coordination with the SDA Facilities team
• Engagement with property owners, contractors, leasing agencies, and stakeholders to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet requirements
• Identifying issues promptly and recommending solutions to keep projects on track and within budget

Required Qualifications

• Five years of experience with an active TS/SCI clearance
• Willingness to travel to active construction sites and adhere to health and safety protocols
• Experience with leasing documents and processes
• Experience with construction contracts
• Ability to review and interpret blueprints
• Understanding of government procurement processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA standards
• Experience with Basing Action documents and processes
• Proficiency in CAD software
