Position Overview

Join us supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA), recognized for space acquisition innovation. SDA provides space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter, developing and operating the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. We seek a Jr. Construction Engineer to support SDA’s mission. Responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

• Perform project management oversight for construction projects at SDA facilities.
• Assist with design, execution, construction, and renovation oversight in coordination with the SDA Facilities team.
• Collaborate with property owners, construction companies, leasing agencies, and stakeholders to track project schedules and ensure requirements are met.
• Identify issues quickly and recommend solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.

Required Qualifications

• Five years of experience and an active TS/SCI clearance (#qinetiqclearedjob).
• Willingness to travel regularly to active construction sites; adherence to all health and safety protocols.
• Experience with leasing documents and processes.
• Experience with construction contracts.
• Ability to review and understand blueprints.
• Understanding of government procurement processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with Basing Action documents and processes is a plus.
• Proficiency with CAD software is highly recommended.
