Job summary

North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Technician III to perform routine and corrective maintenance at the NC State Laboratory of Public Health & Chief Medical Examiners Office in Raleigh, NC.

The role requires journeyman level work in Plumbing and at least one other trade (HVAC, Electrical, or Carpentry), with duties including service/repair of complex systems and on-call support. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of progressive experience in trade areas.
• EPA refrigeration and/or universal technician certification may be required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on facilities systems.
• Service and repair plumbing systems including heat-exchangers, fixtures, and related equipment.
• Assist with planning projects and meeting deadlines; perform on-call maintenance as scheduled.
