Qualifications

• Completion of a federal or state sanctioned line worker apprenticeship with approved documentation (e.g. IBEW Journeyworker Lineworker A Ticket)
• Must possess a valid Class A driving permit by first day of employment
• Must pass a DMV medical exam by first day of employment

Responsibilities

• Travel to various job locations within the assigned region (General Construction).
• Review job work requirements and provide input for the day
• Load and unload tools, materials and supplies
• Lift and carry insulators, cross-arms, equipment and cables
• Climb poles using boot hooks or aerial lift and set/pound poles
• Install and energize transformers and take voltage readings
• Troubleshoot problems and determine extent of repairs on lines
