Job summary

Bird Electric Enterprises seeks an experienced lineman to install, repair, and test electrical distribution and transmission systems in industrial settings. You will work from plans and specifications, climb poles or use bucket trucks, and coordinate with team members to ensure safe, quality work.

The role emphasizes compliance with safety protocols, experience with cables and transmission lines, and the ability to read diagrams and P&ID style schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years working experience as a lineman or equivalent in industrial construction.
• Strong working knowledge of installation or repair of cables or wires used in electrical power or distribution systems and transmission towers and lines.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and read plans, diagrams and specs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, inspect, test and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems per plans and specs.
• Climb poles or operate bucket trucks to access equipment and perform terminations.
• Coordinate work with team members and ensure safety protocols to achieve zero injuries.
