Job summary

Great Lakes Energy is seeking a journeyman or utility lineworker to maintain, construct, and restore electric distribution systems from the Waters district. You will operate in all weather, ensure safety, and coordinate with a team on restoration and construction projects.

The role requires a DOL-certified apprenticeship with 7,000 hours, and an unrestricted CDL with group A and air brake endorsement. Training and career growth opportunities are available as part of a supportive, employee-first

Qualifications

• DOL-certified apprenticeship training program with 7,000 hours on-the-job training.
• Unrestricted CDL with group A designation and air brake endorsement.
• Journeyman or utility lineworker status required or considered for higher-step apprenticeships.

Responsibilities

• Perform power restoration, line construction, and maintenance on electric distribution systems.
• Respond to emergency calls and work with a team to restore service safely and efficiently.
• Travel as needed within the service area; operate under safety-focused procedures.
