Job summary

NorthWestern Energy is hiring a Journeyman Lineman to install, maintain and service power lines, with leadership duties as needed. The role involves safety oversight, planning, and documentation for projects across distribution systems, including LNG facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record.
• First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Bucket truck and pole top rescue certification.
• Gas OQ and HAZMAT programs completed within 6 months of hire.
• Commitment to safe working practices and knowledge of safety procedures.
• Able to act as leadsman or foreman as needed.
• Adapt to technological changes as implemented.
• Get Into Energy - Energy Industry Fundamentals 2.0 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and service power lines and related equipment.
• Lead projects as foreman or leadsman, ensuring safety, planning, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot outages and perform emergency response for electrical and LNG systems.
• Interact with the public and coordinate with engineers during projects.
• Complete documentation for project planning and completion.
• Operate heavy equipment and climb structures as required.
• Respond to after-hours calls and participate in on-call rotation.
