Job summary

Great Lakes Energy is seeking a journeyman or utility lineworker to service our Waters district. You will maintain, construct, and restore electric distribution systems while prioritizing safety and teamwork.

The role requires completing a DOL-certified apprenticeship with 7,000 hours of on-the-job training and holding an unrestricted CDL with group A designation and air brake endorsement. Local travel within western and northern Michigan may be involved.

Qualifications

• DOL-certified apprenticeship program with 7,000 hours on-the-job training.
• Journeyman or utility lineworker status with appropriate credentials.
• Commitment to working safely in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and construct electric distribution lines and related infrastructure.
• Perform emergency restoration and repair as needed.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe and efficient outage responses.
