Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a Java Developer (SME) to provide Agile DevOps support for mission critical systems. You will design, implement and test data tooling for an enterprise Data Lake, using Java and Spring in a scalable backend microservices environment.

You will contribute to architecture decisions, mentor peers, and ensure alignment with customer use cases within a cloud-based platform. A strong background in AWS and data technologies is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Agile development practices and SAFe is preferred.
• Extensive Java and Spring Framework experience, with RESTful API design.
• Proficient with data technologies like Elasticsearch, Postgres, DynamoDB, Kafka, AWS services.
• Experience with DevOps toolchains and automated deployment.
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting; strong testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain high-performance backend microservices in Java/Spring.
• Lead software programming initiatives, mentor team members, conduct code reviews.
• Develop system validation and testing methods using JUnit and Katalon; utilize automated deployment solutions.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions leveraging platform services.
• Coordinate infrastructure needs tied to software delivery for mission support.
• Support SAFe-aligned agile lifecycle with Product Owners and Scrum Masters.
