Job summary

Leidos is seeking an ETL Java Developer (SME) to build large-scale data ingestion systems and support data lake initiatives within a DevOps framework. You will guide design, development, deployment, and testing across the full software lifecycle.

The role requires expertise in ETL/ELT, Java data processing, and cloud platforms (AWS/Google/Azure), with a focus on delivering enterprise-grade data solutions for national security initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required.
• Extensive ETL/ELT experience including parsing and deployment, data flow management, and data modeling.
• Experience with relational databases and MySQL using SQL queries.
• Proficiency with Java for data processing and querying (SQL/NoSQL).
• Experience with Spring, NiFi, Kafka, and Elasticsearch for ETL/Data Integration.
• Experience developing on Commercial Cloud Platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Experience with cloud data services (S3, RDS, EFS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; experience leading development scrum teams.
• Masters degree with 15+ years of relevant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a large-scale ingest system in a big data environment.
• Define optimal ELT processes to support enterprise data objectives.
• Recommend methods to optimize data visualization, storage, and availability.
• Develop and validate software using HTML, CSS, Java, Python, SpringBoot, Hibernate.
• Develop and execute system validation and testing using JUnit and Katalon.
• Create and integrate custom software solutions leveraging automated deployment tech.
• Develop, prototype and deploy solutions in Commercial Cloud Platforms.
• Coordinate infrastructure needs with software deliverables to meet mission needs.
• Support SAFe-aligned Agile lifecycle and DevOps practices.
• Utilize GitHub, Jenkins, Unix scripting, and Atlassian Jira/Confluence for tracking.
