Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Java Developer in Bethesda, MD to design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance backend microservices within a DevOps and SAFe framework.

You will contribute across the software lifecycle from estimations to deployment, collaborating with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to align user stories and deliver customer-focused solutions. The role emphasizes Java-based design patterns, RESTful APIs, cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP), and automated testing with JUnit/Katalon,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
• Experience with Java-based design patterns and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with DevOps toolchains and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain high-performance, scalable backend microservices using Java and the Spring Framework.
• Participate in software programming initiatives and code reviews.
• Develop software validation and testing methods using JUnit and Katalon; support automated deployments.
