Everforth Apex is seeking a Java Backend Services Developer to manage Java/Java EE app development across the full SDLC, from concept to testing, focused on robust backend services for remote environments.

You will work with cloud, microservices, and data persistence, leveraging Spring, AWS, and ORM tools, and contribute to design, testing, and documentation while collaborating with global clients.

Role Overview

This position involves managing Java/Java EE application development and providing expertise throughout the full software development lifecycle. The role extends from concept and design to testing, focusing on creating and maintaining robust backend services.

Key Responsibilities

• Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements and envisioning system features and functionality.
• Design and develop user interfaces for internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and feature priorities.
• Determine design methodologies and tool sets to complete programming using various languages and software products.
• Design and conduct tests to ensure application quality and performance.
• Troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
• Support users by developing comprehensive documentation and assistance tools.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• 10+ years of hands‑on development experience with JAVA/SpringBoot.
• Hands‑on experience in deploying applications into AWS.
• Experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
• Experience with the Spring Framework and at least one popular web framework (e.g., JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
• Object‑Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.

Technical Skills

• A strong understanding of cloud and event‑driven architecture, microservices, and DDD architectural style.
• Strong understanding of Terraform.
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
• Proficiency in Java J2EE and Hibernate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Event‑Driven Architecture (EDA), particularly Kafka.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or OpenShift (Red Hat).
• Strong skills in Java, Spring, and Springboot for creating microservices.
