Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks a Full Stack Developer to join our IT team in Jersey City, NJ. Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications using Java/J2EE, Spring, Angular, and RESTful services in a hybrid work setting.

Collaborate with business analysts and infrastructure to deliver high-quality software through modern CI/CD practices, code reviews, and rigorous testing. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle in a fast-paced agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical subject or related field.
• 6+ years of active development experience in Java/J2EE applications, including at least 2 years with Angular.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, JMS, and Tomcat.

Full Stack Developer

Location

Role Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our Information Technology team. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying high-quality, scalable applications. The ideal candidate will work on both front-end and back-end technologies, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle from concept to deployment in a dynamic, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop applications in compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create applications and construct unit test cases to ensure compliance.
• Translate business requirements into software designs and implementations.
• Participate in detailed code reviews to produce high-quality code.
• Work with Business System Analysts to ensure designs satisfy functional requirements.
• Partner with Infrastructure to identify and deploy efficient hosting environments.
• Tune application performance to eliminate and reduce issues.
• Support development teams in testing, fixing, and production support.
• Work with peers to mature ways of working, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical subject area or a related field.

Experience: 6+ years of active development experience in Java/J2EE based applications, including at least 2 years with Angular.

Technical Skills

• Extensive experience with Java (Core & EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, JMS, Tomcat).
• Demonstrated ability with Hibernate, Spring, Spring MVC, REST API, and PL/SQL.
• Proficiency in web-based UI development using Angular frameworks, Servlet/JSP.
• Experience with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and similar UI frameworks (JQuery, React).
• Strong database and PL/SQL skills, with a preference for Oracle.
• Experience in software development using CI/CD tools such as GIT, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, and Jira.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools including Junit, Mockito, Jasmine, and Karma.
• Experience using NodeJS and NPM.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microservices-based architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with container platforms like OpenShift; AWS experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of integration patterns and messaging technologies (MQ, Solace, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodology.
