Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services in Minnesota seek a Mechanical Trimmer (Jarraff Operator) to remove branches from electrical lines. You will operate heavy equipment, follow safety rules, and assist with daily maintenance under the Foreperson’s guidance.

Applicants should have prior heavy equipment experience related to vegetation management or similar fields and a high school diploma. Willingness to travel for storm work and to obtain CDL/DOT card is required.

Qualifications

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience in electric utility vegetation management or related fields.
• High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and enforce rules on site.
• Prepare equipment and materials for daily work as directed by Foreperson.
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Assist in equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Lead crew activities when required and support team tasks.
• Clean up debris and set up safety barriers as needed.
• Record mileage and report to Foreperson.
• Perform storm-work duties when required.
