Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services in Fort Dodge, IA seek a Mechanical Trimmer (Jarraff Operator) to remove branches from electrical lines using heavy equipment.

Candidates must have prior Jarraff operation experience, strong safety practices, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Some storm-work travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to travel for storm restoration work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines as directed
• Prepare equipment and materials for daily operations
• Assist Foreperson and other crew members; lead when required
• Maintain and repair equipment and tools
• Ensure safety practices and protect employees and the public
• Report mileage to Foreperson and follow procedures for storm work
