Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services seek a Mechanical Trimmer (Jarraff Operator) to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. You will operate heavy equipment, follow safety rules, and support daily maintenance. Travel for storm work may be required.

Required experience in operating Jarraff equipment and a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Background checks and drug screening are required. Benefits include health insurance and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience in utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military preferred.
• High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.
• Position requires passing a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Always follow and help enforce safe practices and rules.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for each day’s work.
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Help maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Assist other crew members and take a leadership role when required.
• Cleans up and disposes of debris.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, and markers to protect employees and public.
• Track and report mileage to Foreperson.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
