Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a Mechanical Trimmer (Jarraff Operator) to remove branches from electrical lines. You will operate Jarraff machinery, follow safety procedures, and support the crew in daily tasks and storm restoration work.

Qualified candidates have prior heavy equipment experience and a High School diploma or equivalent. A CDL and DOT Medical Card are required where applicable, with background checks and drug screening part of the process.

Qualifications

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, or related fields.
• High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment as directed.
• Assist in daily equipment preparation and maintenance.
• Maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Assist crew and take leadership role when required.
• Set up barriers, warning signs, and protect workers and the public.
• Track and report mileage to Foreperson.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
