Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts seeks a Mechanical Trimmer (Jarraff Operator) to operate heavy equipment removing branches from electrical lines. Prior Jarraff experience is required, with a focus on safety and efficiency in utility vegetation work.

You will work with Forepersons, perform routine maintenance, and assist with storm restoration assignments. Travel to sites may be required; background check and drug screen are mandatory before joining the crew.

Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable about daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment.
• Must possess physical strength and good balance to climb into and around mobile equipment.
• Must be able to enter and exit a vehicle repeatedly during shifts.
• Must work outdoors in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Always follow and help enforce safe practices and rules.
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for daily work at Foreperson's direction.
• Help maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Lead when required and assist other crew members in daily activities.
• Set up barriers, signs, and markers to protect employees and the public.
• Track and report mileage to Foreperson.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
