Job summary

Relocity is seeking a Part-Time Relocation Consultant fluent in Japanese to guide relocating employees in Portland, OR. The role blends remote and in-person client support (60-70% remote, 30-40% on-site).

Qualifications

• Must have the legal right to work in the USA.
• Must have at least 5 years of residency in Portland with extensive knowledge of the local rental market, education system, and local registration processes.
• Must own a reliable, registered, and insured 4-door vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
• Applicants should be flexible to dedicate at least 20 hours per week to this role.
• Must be flexible and available to work weekends.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with good time management.
• Prior personal relocation or moving assistance experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with relocating employees.
• Provide expert guidance on neighborhoods, transportation, and local culture.
• Conduct housing and school research including rentals, school ratings, commute times, and neighborhood suitability.
• Assist with DMV registration, banking setup, and other logistical needs.
• Curate personalized recommendations for social, cultural, and lifestyle activities.
• Gather and deliver customized information using Relocity software and GSuite to create client reports.
• Coordinate and lead area tours, in person or virtual.
• Maintain ongoing communication with relocating employees via phone, email, video, or in-person meetings.
• Serve as primary point of contact throughout relocation, liaising with clients, partners, and vendors.
• Manage multiple relocations at various stages with organization and proactive follow-ups.
• Handle administrative tasks including updating client records and documenting interactions.
