Job summary

ServiceNow in Santa Clara is seeking an experienced IT demos engineer to own the ITSM/ITOM demo portfolio. You will partner with product marketing and management to translate release themes into compelling demo stories and then build the environments, data, and scripts to bring them to life.

This hands-on builder role requires strong scripting on the platform, experience with demo environments, and comfortable presenting live demos.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development with ITSM/ITOM.
• Strong scripting on the platform: Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, UI Builder/Workspaces, REST integrations, Transform Maps, scoped app development, and update sets.
• Experience building or supporting demo environments, sandboxes, or lab instances, including provisioning, cloning, and data seeding at scale.
• Ability to write a story, not just build a feature: translate marketing messages into persona-driven narratives for non-technical audiences.
• Strong communication with product, marketing, and executive stakeholders; comfortable presenting demos live.
• Self-directed, manage backlogs and coordinate across events.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end ITSM/ITOM demo inventory and portfolio for events and launches.
• Hands-on development of demo scenarios on ServiceNow including Now Assist, IT Operations Workspace, ITSM Pro capabilities, Discovery and Service Mapping, Event Management/AIOps, CMDB, and cloud cost tooling.
• Translate PMM messaging into demo scripts, build environments, personas, and seeded data; draft talk tracks and demo guides.
• Keep demo environments healthy: stable data, integrations, upgrades, and reliable deployments for keynote stages.
• Serve as the go-to IT demo expert across Marketing, Events, Analyst Relations, and Sales enablement.
• Collaborate with PM and engineering on pre-release features and provide real feedback to product.
• Deliver on stage and on video; collaborate with designers and coaches presenters.
