Job summary

The Office of Information Technology at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking an IT User Support Specialist to join a team of dedicated IT professionals. The role provides comprehensive computing support and standard software training to faculty and staff, primarily on-site with some remote work after an initial training period.

Qualifications

Experience providing customer-focused technical support.
Experience with ITSM tools or help desk software.
Experience with endpoint management tools (SCCM/Workspace ONE).
Windows deployment, configuration and troubleshooting knowledge.
Understanding identity and access management principles.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to think critically and solve problems.

Responsibilities

Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate IT data, network, and application issues.
Deliver individual and group end-user trainings on technology solutions.
Maintain operational functions of technology systems per user requirements.
Serve as a point of contact for information about technology resources.
Handle procurements, installations, configurations, and repairs of tech hardware and software.
