J.Sheppard Associates, a progressive Midtown NYC law firm, seeks an experienced IT Training Specialist who enjoys working directly with attorneys and staff to improve confidence, efficiency, and productivity. You will provide hands-on training across Microsoft 365 and legal tech tools, with emphasis on practical, user-friendly instruction.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of hands-on IT training experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services setting.

Our client, a progressive law firm in Midtown NYC, is seeking an experienced IT Training Specialist who enjoys working directly with attorneys and professional staff, providing hands-on technology training that improves their confidence, efficiency and productivity. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives on individual and small group instruction and enjoys helping people become more effective in their daily use of technology.

The position focuses on practical software and application training across Microsoft 365, legal technology applications, document management systems and other firmwide platforms. Responsibilities include new employee onboarding, individual and group instruction, introducing new technologies and system enhancements, and providing ongoing training and support to attorneys and staff.

The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience personally conducting IT and software training, preferably within a law firm or other professional services environment. Candidates with comparable corporate or other industry experience will also be considered. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, document management systems and business applications is important, along with excellent communication skills, patience and the ability to effectively teach users at all levels.

While assisting with training materials and program development is part of the role, the primary emphasis is on direct interaction with users, identifying their needs and helping them apply technology effectively. A bachelor's degree is required, and IT training certification is preferred. Compensation ranges from $85K to $95K, plus a generous annual bonus and a top tier benefits package.
