Job summary

Milton Town School District is seeking an IT Technician Level 2 to support district technology across Milton Elementary, Milton High School and Milton Middle School. The role starts immediately and requires strong hardware, software, and networking skills as well as excellent customer service.

You will install, diagnose, and repair devices, build and maintain images, manage user accounts in Active Directory, and collaborate with the Technology Supervisor for district needs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in an Information Technology-related field or 3 years of relevant experience.
• CompTIA/A+/Network+ Certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 1 year.
• 2-5 years of experience in technology support.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and transport equipment throughout the District.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Set up and configure new equipment including computers, tablets, printers, monitors, projectors, and other devices.
• Repair district IT equipment in a timely manner.
• Work through complex technical challenges.
• Install and troubleshoot client software and operating systems, including building client images.
• Assist with supporting network devices as needed.
• Use Active Directory for user modifications.
• Routine maintenance of projectors and printers.
• Meet with Technology Supervisor regularly to coordinate district needs.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and elevate support tickets.
• Work with outside vendors to coordinate repairs.
• Participate in cross-training / three deep knowledge sharing.
