Job summary

The Madison Metropolitan School District is seeking an IT Support role to assist MMSD schools with on-site hardware/software issues. You will troubleshoot end-user problems, perform desktop setup, imaging, and hardware upgrades to keep devices in district standard.

You will educate staff on IT best practices, handle Help Desk duties, and collaborate with technicians to align troubleshooting with district software standards. This role requires teamwork and a commitment to diverse student needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Micro computing technology or commensurate experience.
• One year of experience providing technical support to staff, students, or office users of PCs, network hardware and software.
• Valid driver's license and own transportation among schools.
• Experience performing on-site field hardware upgrades, troubleshooting and software installation (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot routine end-user software and hardware problems within a networked environment and escalate complex issues.
• Perform on-site setup, problem-solving, and operation of desktop systems.
• Replace defective equipment promptly to ensure continued productivity; imaging and upgrades per standards.
• Educate staff on IT best practices and perform Help Desk duties as scheduled.
