Job summary

Marvin is hiring for an Information Systems Technician in Oregon to mentor and guide IS Technicians, align IT activities with business goals, and implement cost-effective technology solutions. The role collaborates with IT management to improve security, SharePoint governance, and end-user support across on-site and off-site environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based clients and servers.
• Experience with networking devices, principals, and protocols.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure security.
• Training in scissor and boom lift is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration and support of Network and Systems Management.
• Assist in managing security and support of SharePoint site.
• Participate in IT project development, solution modeling, and execution.
• Participate as a member of the Helpdesk to log and resolve support incidents.
• Log labor and order parts/equipment in the work order system; close IS tasks.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on network equipment, servers, computers, printers, scanners, and other devices.
• Provide on-site and off-site end-user support by phone, email, and in person.
• Configure and install new computers, printers, network devices, and related peripherals.
• Assist in network cabling support, telephone/voicemail, video conferencing, and multi-media A/V equipment.
• Install and troubleshoot various end user software packages.
• Maintain and develop documentation and procedures; share knowledge with users and team.
• Research, analyze, and test Information Systems solutions; assist in end-user training.
• Assist with efficiency and cost reduction in Information Systems areas.
• Participate in on-call support.
