Job summary

Marvin is seeking an Information Systems Technician mentor to guide IS staff, work with IT management, and implement cost-effective technology solutions across the organization. You will participate in project development, incident resolution, and maintenance of network and endpoint devices.

The role includes providing direct end-user support, configuring devices, and assisting with security and infrastructure tasks. Marvin emphasizes employee benefits and a supportive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer/network support and/or two years related experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based clients and servers.
• Experience with networking devices, principals, and protocols.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure security.
• Training in scissor and boom lift for access to equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship and direction to IS Technicians and support IT objectives.
• Assist in administration and support of Network and Systems Management.
• Assist in security and support of SharePoint site.
• Participate in IT project development, solution modeling, and execution.
• Log and resolve incidents as a Helpdesk member.
• Log labor and parts in the work order system and close IS tickets.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain network equipment, servers, and endpoints.
• Provide on-site and remote end-user support via phone, email, and in person.
• Configure and install computers, printers, and network devices.

Job Overview

Provide mentorship and direction to the Information Systems Technicians and support business objectives. Work closely with IT management to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

Highlights of your role

• Assist in the administration and support of Network and Systems Management.
• Assist in managing security and support of SharePoint site
• Participate in IT project development, solution modeling, and execution.
• Participate as a member of the Helpdesk to log and resolve support incidents.
• Participate as a member of the work order system to log labor, order parts and equipment, create and close IS
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on network equipment, servers, computers, printers, scanners, and other devices.
• Provides direct support by phone, email, and in person for on-site and off-site end-users.
• Configure and install new computers, printers, network devices, and related peripheral devices.
• Assist in the support and administration of network cabling (install, terminate, and troubleshoot), telephone/voicemail systems, video conferencing, and multi-media A/V equipment.
• Install and troubleshoot various end user software packages.
• Maintain and develop documentation and procedures, share knowledge and effectively communicate with end users, team members, and management.
• Research, analyze, and test Information Systems solutions and assist in training of end-users.
• Assist with efficiency and cost reduction in Information Systems areas.
• Participate in on-call support

• Associate degree in computer/network support and/or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based clients and servers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with networking devices, principals, and protocols.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure security
• Training in scissor and boom lift is required (ability to access network connections and equipment for installation, troubleshooting, and repair).
