Job summary

Iowa Southern Bankruptcy Court in Des Moines, IA seeks an Information Technology Technician II to support a broad range of IT services within the Bankruptcy Clerk's Office. The role reports to the Director of Information Technology and requires strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities include end-user support, courtroom technology tasks, workstation administration, system maintenance, security, and project coordination with court staff and external parties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of specialized IT experience.
• Ability to learn new operating systems and applications.
• Experience training non-IT personnel in IT practices.
• Experience setting up and supporting telework employees.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the court unit across a wide range of IT areas.
• Assist with courtroom technology tasks and projects.
• Perform workstation administration and end-user support.
• Maintain and troubleshoot systems and applications; ensure computer security.
• Provide high-level end-user support to court employees, the bar, Judges and the public.
