Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support system servers, printers, and hardware.
  • Install and utilize system tools for tracking and support of system activity.
  • Coordinate and communicate with SSA, LDH, and HP support as needed.
  • Set up and configure all DDS equipment and networks.
  • Provide troubleshooting of hardware problems and analysis to management.
  • Initiate and coordinate replacement of obsolete equipment and disposal of network components.
  • Design and support databases, spreadsheets, and templates as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory database of equipment, users, and network cabling.
  • Oversee IT onboarding, termination, and user changes and clearances.

Join our team and play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Disability Determinations Services (DDS). In this position, you’ll serve as Network Administrator and Systems Support for the Local Area Network (LAN) housed in the Disability Determinations Area Office to provide continual technical support.   • Three years of experience in information technology; OR
  • Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in information technology; OR
  • An associate's degree in information technology plus one year of experience in information technology; OR

  • A bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in an information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics field.
  • EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
  • NOTE: A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion, provided the appointment is made from a Certificate of Eligibles.

Job Duties

  • Complete oversight of new hire, termination, and user change IT activities by ensuring all equipment and clearances are received, and all steps have been taken.
