Job summary

Louisiana Department of Health in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an experienced Administrative Services professional to support executive leadership. The role coordinates meetings, manages communications, and handles travel logistics for leadership teams.

Qualifications

  • Four years of experience in administrative services.
  • Experience substitution: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Medicaid Deputy Directors, Section Chiefs, and other higher-level staff with a variety of administrative matters.
  • Coordinates telephone conference calls, conference meetings and/or workshops chaired by the Medicaid Deputy Directors and/or higher staff.
  • Ensures assigned primary, secondary, and unit management time administrator duties are performed in accordance with applicable procedures and policies; serves as a personnel liaison for their section(s).
  • Prepares travel documents and authorizations or travel expense accounts, makes travel arrangements with hotel, travel agency, car rental agencies and interprets travel regulations.
