Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an IT Systems Support Technician in Rochester, NY. The role handles incoming requests via phone, email, and chat, delivering strong customer experience and remote or onsite troubleshooting of Windows or Mac systems.

Responsibilities include front-line triage, systems administration in MS 365/Entra ID, hardware and network triage, and regional on-site support in Western NY. Bachelor’s degree in IT and 1+ year experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT Related field is required.
Minimum One years Related Experience.
Experience in Windows desktop OS skills (Windows 8.1/10/11).
Experience in Windows Office application suite skills.
Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 is required.
Network, UTM, Firewalls, Inter-intranet experience is required.
MSO365 and Google Workspace are required.
Must hold a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

Front-Line Triage & Support: Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 technical issues via phone, email, live chat, and remote support tools.
Systems Administration: Assist with user onboarding/offboarding, password resets, permissions, and software deployment in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory/Entra ID environments.
Hardware & Network Triage: Troubleshoot desktop hardware, workstations, peripherals, basic local network issues (Wi-Fi, routers, switches), and printers.
Regional On-Site Dispatch: Drive the company car to client sites in Western NY for hardware setups, cable management, or hands-on troubleshooting as needed.
Ticket Management: Maintain clear, real-time ticket logs and document solutions in our internal knowledge base
