Job summary

Dekker in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking an IT Support/Helpdesk technician to provide day-to-day technical assistance to staff and guests. You will diagnose hardware and software issues, image and deploy workstations, and support onboarding and training to help teams work efficiently.

You will also assist with routine IT maintenance, manage Microsoft 365 accounts, and help improve IT service delivery through documentation and collaboration with senior staff.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a helpdesk or desktop support role.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer information sciences or equivalent
• Foundational understanding of Windows OS, basic networking concepts, and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive day-to-day technical support to staff and guests, troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues.
• Diagnose, repair, replace, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, monitors, docking stations, and related equipment.
• Image, configure, deploy, and maintain employee workstations in accordance with established technology and security standards.
• Support employee onboarding, including equipment preparation, account configuration, new-hire technology orientation, and equipment recovery.
• Assist employees with the effective use of firm technology, providing guidance, training, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory, asset records, and technical support documentation.
• Assist with routine IT maintenance, including software deployments, system updates, patching, and endpoint security.
• Support the administration and maintenance of Microsoft 365, user accounts, and other firm technology platforms.
• Assist senior IT staff with infrastructure maintenance, monitoring, backups, and other operational activities as assigned.
• Participate in IT projects, process improvements, and automation initiatives as opportunities arise.
• Document technical procedures, communicate recurring issues, and identify opportunities to improve IT service delivery.
