Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an IT Technician to support hardware and software issues and resolve end-user technology concerns under the Help Desk Manager’s guidance.

You will assist with laptop configuration, deployments, account management in Microsoft 365, and basic networking. This role may require after-hours work and weekend coverage, with a focus on reliable, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience providing direct user support in a large networked environment.
• Experience installing/maintaining Windows 10/11; Windows Server 2016+ is a plus.
• Experience setting up and maintaining Microsoft 365 accounts.
• Understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP).
• Ability to type at least 30 wpm and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with configuration and repair of laptops and deployment of new computers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve end-user technology issues by phone and in person.
• Submit vendor warranty claims and documentation for repairs.
• Provide desktop, mobile phone system support, and user provisioning.
• Occasionally work after hours and weekends when required.
