Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking an IT Technician to support hardware, software, and end-user technology under the advisement of the Help Desk Manager. You will troubleshoot issues, deploy new computers, and assist staff in person or by phone.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree, experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, basic networking (TCP/IP), and strong written and spoken communication. some after-hours work may be required; vendor warranty handling and setup of accounts in MS 365

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience supporting end users in a large, networked environment.
• Experience installing and maintaining Windows 10/11; Windows Server 2016+ is a plus.
• Experience setting up and maintaining MS 365 accounts.
• Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP) and good communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist Help Desk Manager with configuring and repairing laptops and deploying new computers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve end-user IT issues by phone and in person.
• Evaluate problems and determine appropriate maintenance or hardware/software solutions.
• Submit vendor warranty claims and document warranty repairs.
• Provide desktop and mobile device support and set up new users.
• Occasionally work after hours and weekends as needed.
