Job summary

Hometown Tech is seeking a Support Tech to provide desktop, software, and basic network support for diverse clients across southern Wisconsin. You’ll assist with Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, and on-prem Active Directory, while gaining hands-on experience in cloud, on-prem, and hybrid setups.

The role involves remote work and regular travel to client sites in Walworth County, with opportunities to collaborate with a System Architect and experienced teammates.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft cloud and domain environments (Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, on-prem Active Directory)
• Understanding of basic networking concepts (firewalls, switches, gateways, VLANs)
• Knowledge of Google Workspace
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced IT environment

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop, software, and basic network support for a variety of clients
• Assist with administration of Microsoft cloud and domain-controlled environments
• Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and device access
• Troubleshoot login, access, and connectivity issues
• Assist with Google Workspace administration and user support
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and network issues
• Work remotely from home and travel regularly to client sites in Walworth County
• Collaborate with System Architect and team
• Participate in an on-call rotation
• Work in cloud-only, on-premises, and hybrid environments
