University of Georgia in Athens is seeking an IT Professional Associate to deliver high-quality desktop, lab, and classroom support within Franklin College. You will work with faculty and staff, troubleshoot hardware and software, and help maintain technology-enhanced classrooms.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma with 2 years of related experience. You will join a team that values proactive service, documentation, and collaboration with senior staff to support campus technology

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.
Experience with desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and operating systems.
Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common productivity/security apps.
Ability to work as part of a team in Franklin College.

Responsibilities

Manage assigned and incoming tasks to facilitate client support.
Respond to requests for service and engage in proactive computer support for units in Franklin College.
Provide defined aspects of support for desktop and laptop computers (Windows and Mac) including security, networking, peripherals, hardware, and software.
Under supervision, assist in creating and deploying desktop computer images.
Perform some server-side tasks in collaboration with the Systems Management Team.
Work with supervisor to make suggestions for improvements and process efficiencies.
