Job summary

The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis is seeking an IT Technician 2 to provide quality customer support for students, faculty, and staff needing technical assistance. You will repair university computing equipment via phone, portal, or walk-in to the Service Desk call Center.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; transcript must be provided.
• One year of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree in lieu of one year.
• Combination of education and experience to equal three years accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd tier support via phone, email, or walk-in.
• Use remote access to resolve incidents and update workstations.
• Document problems and route to 3rd tier in the ticketing system.
• Configure devices and install software brought to the Service Desk.
• Repair and maintain student print kiosks campus-wide.
• Run malware cleanup and remediation as requested by Cybersecurity.
• Test software and hardware before production release.
• Submit service requests for account management and equipment moves.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
