Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Computer Systems Tech II in Warroad, MN to provide Tier 1-2 IT support across the organization. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, install and maintain desktops and devices, and assist with onboarding and security compliance.

A2-yr IT background and Office 365 proficiency are essential. The role emphasizes hands-on system maintenance, inventory management, documentation, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent IT experience.
• 1-2 years IT support or helpdesk experience.
• Strong understanding of Windows and macOS environments.
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with Office 365 or Microsoft 365 tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1-2 end-user support via helpdesk tickets, email, chat, phone and in person.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Perform routine maintenance on operating systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Support patching, updates, and system upgrades.
• Assist with network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
• Guide employees through problem-solving steps and best practices.
• Assist in onboarding new users: setting up accounts, devices, and access rights.
• Maintain accurate inventory of IT hardware, software, and licenses.
• Support equipment lifecycle management including provisioning and decommissioning.
• Follow IT security policies and procedures, including password and access controls.
• Assist in monitoring security alerts or suspicious activity.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and support logs.
• Track support requests using the IT ticketing system.
