Job summary

Bay Area Hospital is seeking an IT Support Technician to serve as the initial contact for hospital staff, providing tier 1 support both on site and remotely. You will handle service desk tasks, issue logging, and basic troubleshooting to sustain hospital IT operations.

You will work with the Service Desk team to resolve issues before escalation and help maintain documentation, procedures, and user support during shifts across varied hours.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• CompTIA+ certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides first line response for users requiring assistance with IS equipment and systems and assists users with initial troubleshooting.
• Inputs, assigns, and tracks work orders and support tickets.
• Monitors various systems as necessary to verify interface connectivity and to check for miscellaneous errors and problems.
• Regularly monitors incoming voicemail and email.
• Communicates issues to co-workers and escalates when needed.
• Performs shift duties and system maintenance tasks as required.
