Job summary

Move Vertical seeks an IT Support Technician to deliver Tier 1/2 technical help for clinical and administrative staff across the health system. The role covers hardware, software, networking, and peripherals in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-service oriented, and capable of supporting users with varying technical levels. Travel to nearby facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HIPAA training/certificate required.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking.
• Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows computers.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues logically and independently.
• Ability to document work accurately in a ticketing system.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when working around patient and healthcare information.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and basic Tier 2 technical support to healthcare employees and staff.
• Troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and related peripherals.
• Install, configure, deploy, and replace computers and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and common business applications.
• Assist users with password resets, account-access issues, and basic Microsoft 365 applications.
• Support network connectivity, Wi-Fi, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Respond to help desk tickets and document troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate IT support team.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including workstation and account setup.
• Maintain accurate equipment and asset records.
• Follow established cybersecurity, privacy, and information-security procedures.
• Provide professional technical assistance to clinical and non-clinical users.
• Protect confidential patient and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
• Travel between nearby healthcare facilities may occasionally be required.
• Perform other IT support duties as assigned.
