Job summary

Tempus Unlimited in Massachusetts seeks an IT Support/Help Desk professional with 2–5 years of user-focused experience. You will install, test, and maintain PCs, network hardware, and software, provide remote and on-site support, and help improve workflows with new technologies.

Responsibilities include incident logging, assisting System and Network Administrators, and planning projects under the IT Manager. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of IT support/Help Desk experience in a user-oriented environment.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently, self-motivator with the ability to plan and initiate.
• Strong understanding of a wide variety of personal computing equipment, software applications and networking equipment (TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory).

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, and maintains a variety of personal computing, network hardware and software systems on local area network and wide area network connections.
• Provides remote support for offsite users.
• Maintains a log of completed work using an incident-tracking application.
• Assists and provides back up to System Administrators and Network Administrator.
• Plans, initiates and completes projects as assigned by the IT Manager and meets responsibilities with limited supervision.
• Works with various departments to improve efficiency and workflows using new technologies.
• Travel as needed.
