Job summary

Pacific Rim is seeking an IT Assistant to provide administrative and technical support for the Information Technology Department. The role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and deployment of company technology resources across office and project sites in Guam.

Responsibilities include onboarding/offboarding equipment, managing inventories, assisting with network and internet systems, and ensuring secure, available IT services for employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in information technology support, technical support, or a related role preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, mobile devices, and networking concepts.
• Valid Guam Driver's License preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access credentials required for project sites, including military installations, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the IT Manager with daily Information Technology operations and support activities.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, email, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing equipment, user accounts, and technology access.
• Support setup and maintenance of internet, wireless, and communication systems for office and project site operations.
• Assist with software installation, updates, system upgrades, and technology deployments.
• Maintain inventory records of computers, technology equipment, software licenses, and related assets.
• Coordinate the distribution, collection, replacement, and transportation of company-issued technology equipment.
• Assist in monitoring equipment performance and reporting recurring issues to the IT Manager.
• Maintain organization, security, and accountability of IT storage areas, equipment, and supplies.
• Follow established cybersecurity, data privacy, and information security policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers regarding equipment repairs and technical support as directed.
• Provide onsite technology support for project sites and remote work locations as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
