Job summary

The University of Guam is seeking an IT Support Technician to install, repair, and maintain computer equipment and provide technical support for employees and students. The role monitors IT systems, troubleshoots hardware/software issues, and ensures security and reliability of University networks and resources.

Reports to the Chief Information Officer and requires strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in IT, CS, CIS, or at least 60 credit hours toward a degree in IT/CS or related field.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the minimum knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain computer equipment.
• Provide technical advice and support for employees and students using computer hardware and software.
• Monitor and maintain computers, computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.
• Install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults, and resolve issues via phone or in person.
