Job summary

TECNICA LIMITED is seeking an IT support professional to provide frontline and second-line assistance for business clients. The role emphasizes resolving IT issues, maintaining secure systems, and delivering excellent customer service.

Based in Dunfermline with remote support, you will gain exposure to Microsoft technologies, cloud services, networking and cybersecurity while receiving ongoing training and mentoring from experienced IT engineers.

Qualifications

Minimum one year of IT experience, preferably with an MSP.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Solid foundation in desktop support and basic networking.
Ability to manage tasks independently while escalatING appropriately.

Responsibilities

Provide first- and second-line IT support remotely and at client sites.
Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, printers and business applications.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, Windows OS and connectivity issues.
Support Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, user accounts and email services.
Assist with Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID and Azure administration.
Troubleshoot networking issues including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, VPNs, switches and firewalls.
Assist with system monitoring, patching, backups, security measures and disaster recovery.
Maintain accurate service desk tickets and client records.
