Job summary

Aureate Group is seeking an in-house IT Support Specialist in Tampa to bring day-to-day IT support in-house from a managed service provider. You will be the go-to person for employees' technology, handling onboarding and offboarding on Microsoft 365, and resolving everyday issues.

You will collaborate with the software team to implement an internal ticketing system, maintain devices and accounts, and ensure essential security practices are applied across the organization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an IT support, help desk, or desktop support role.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365: the admin center, Exchange Online, Entra ID users and groups, licensing, and Teams. Experience providing remote desktop support.
• Comfortable supporting both Windows and macOS, plus iOS devices.
• Working knowledge of MFA, password management, and account security practices.
• Clear, patient communication with non-technical people, in person and in writing.
• Organized and self-directed: able to juggle requests, follow checklists precisely, and work without a large team around you.
• Discretion with confidential information, including executive and financial data.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding and offboarding (Microsoft 365): create, license, and configure new user accounts; prepare devices; MFA setup.
• End-user support: be first point of contact, provide remote desktop support, troubleshoot devices and apps.
• Devices, accounts, and security basics: manage inventory, enroll devices with Intune, monitor licenses, apply MFA and least privilege.
• Email security and management: manage mailboxes, spam/phishing protection, and respond to compromised accounts.
• Documentation and transition from MSP: write runbooks and transfer knowledge; suggest improvements.
