Job summary
The City of Gahanna is seeking an experienced Information Technology Support Specialist II to provide advanced desktop, infrastructure, and systems support for city services. You will act as a key technical resource for citywide technology initiatives and work independently in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Responsibilities include tier 2 support, project work, inventory maintenance, and enterprise application management.
Qualifications
- Three (3)+ years of information technology or related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management, or related field.
- Public Safety experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responds to Help Desk inquiries and support tickets in a timely manner.
- Provides tier 2 desktop, server, and infrastructure support.
- Acts as project technical specialist on IT projects.
- Maintains inventory of computer devices and hardware.
- Troubleshoots and maintains phone systems and cabling as needed.
- Configures and reports metrics for enterprise applications.
- Evaluates and tests equipment, hardware, and software.
- Collaborates with Systems Administrator on configuration change management.
- Creates and maintains documentation of processes and procedures.
