Job summary

The City of Gahanna is seeking an IT Support Specialist II to provide advanced desktop, infrastructure, and systems support as a key technical resource for citywide technology initiatives.

Ideal candidates have proven troubleshooting skills and can work independently in a fast-paced enterprise environment, with responsibilities including help desk, project work, inventory, and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management or related field.
• 3+ years IT or related experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with desktop, server and infrastructure support.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 help desk and end-user support for desktop, server, and infrastructure.
• Serve as project technical specialist on IT initiatives.
• Maintain hardware inventory and manage cabling and telecom devices.
• Assist with training and adoption of new technologies.
• Configure and manage enterprise apps (MDT, Jamf, antivirus, MFA).
• Develop workflows for system images and documentation of procedures.
