Job summary

Innosoft Corp. seeks an entry-level IT support technician to provide frontline technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students at Columbia. You will diagnose issues, support Windows/macOS devices, and assist with device deployment and onboarding.

The role involves classroom and audiovisual tech support and ongoing maintenance of college technology systems. The position requires a basic IT background, strong customer-service skills, and the ability to learn university IT environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with basic IT support experience.
• Familiar with Windows operating systems and common software.
• Able to troubleshoot computer hardware and peripherals.
• Strong customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline technical support to faculty, staff and students in person or remotely.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with Windows and macOS computers, printers, and peripherals.
• Assist with workstation setup, deployments, onboarding/offboarding, and equipment replacement.
• Document work performed and escalate complex issues to College IT staff as needed.
• Support classroom and audiovisual technologies including displays, projectors, and conferencing systems.
• Ensure classrooms and meeting spaces are ready for use and perform routine checks.
